bloody nose

Lately my nose bleeds a lot.  It freaks me out cause it sometimes last for for like half hour and it just drips no matter how much I put pressure on it. I talked to my midwives earlier and she said its normal due to the increase of blood flow. I just hate it when I get it at night cause in the morning I would spit clots ...sorry tmi... anyways, any house remedies for this?

I had to see an ENT Dr she told me that during pregnancy u can grow extra blood vessels that are too weak and u have to have them cauterized.  After I did that I never had another one. Afrin nasal spray will help stop it but I am not sure if it is safe when you are pregnant.  U would have to check with your Dr.

ice at the bridge of your nose. other than that idk any home remedies nd I've been dealing with bloody noses since I was a kid. they've gotten so much worse during pregnancy. I spit clots nd just pour blood like a faucet lol I got so frustrated one day I just burst into tears nd let it drip all over the bathroom nd hubby had to calm me down, clean the bathroom nd put me in the shower lmao

My OB told me to put vaseline in the nose. But my nose only bleeds for like 5 seconds then stops. Try packing your nose with tissue and squeeze the bridge where that bony part is and lean forward. Or u can also use an ice pack on the nose while leaning forward with a tissue packed nose. So it doesn't last very long.
