I am if I have a boy. My friends son got a infection and has to get it done when he was four. He was in alot of pain. it was soo sad. I got all four of my boys done. And to be honest they maybe cried for 30 seconds. It really was nothing no fever ate well and I really didnt see any side effects at all. Babies usually sleep alot for the first few weeks when there born. They all were perfectly fine

No circumcising here. My husband isn't and my 8yr old boy isn't either, so I don't want the baby to feel different. My son had never gotten an infection. I made sure to clean him properly as a baby. Once he was older, his dad explained to him how to wash himself. He told him he was ready to clean under the foreskin if it didn't hurt or irritate him when he pulled it back. (you should never force it, never even try to pull it back if they're still babies) He's been taking showers by himself since he was 4 and so far so good.

We're circumsizing our baby boy to avoid infection as a precaution. When they're older its a much painful procedure, so were avoiding that.

@shirano u missed one. .. In Islam it is necessary to get circumsition... So yh my sons getting one...
Otherthan that i havnt found any good use of it.. As evn he is circumsied and he does not know how to clean himself thn he ll get infections... Same goes for every human body....
If u hve no need of it in any matter religiously or medically. . U cn mke choice... Take care...

Absolutely circumsizing! My sister works at a retirement home and tells me all these horrible stories about the old men having to get snipped because they are so wrinkly it gets infected.

i will be circumsising my unborn son, for multiple reason mailny risk of infection they can get at any age ! even if u teach then there whole youth life to keep it clean doesnt mean theyll do it when they get older. some kids get lucky and never have a infection but i wouldnt take the risk of something happening and having to have the extra skin removed later on when hes older and hell remember. i had a cousin who wasnt circumsised and at 16 asked his mom for the surgery because he had a "girlfriend" break up with him because he wasnt circumsised and told everbody at school the girls made fun of him called him "ant eater" he said. so just i think its something that should be done but people feel other wise so really its on your own beliefs.

We will be circumcising or son due to the fact that I have friends with boys who have not been circumcised as babies and have had to get it done when they are older even though they were taught how to clean it properly and have had severe infections still.

Medically there are no benefits of circumcision except there have been studies that uncircumcised males in different parts of the world who engage in multiple sexual relationships, we are talking like 30+ relationships and usually homosexual, they have a greater risk for contracting aids. But that is the only medical reason for it. The hygiene thing is a myth because if you teach your child to clean themselves they won't have a high rate of infection. The only other reason to circumcise other than a cultural norm which has decreased to  around 50/50, is religious. If you are Jewish then that is a reason to do it, however there are some scholars who have found that there is not a religious need to do it within the Jewish religion. If you are Christian there is no obligation either because in Acts it was determined that non Jewish men did not need to be circumcised in order to be a part of the church. All that being said I have no idea what I will do when I have a boy lol. I just learned about it at school.

I'm having a boy n yes I'm getting him circumcised because the benefits out weigh the risks. There aren't be risks I don't think. But it's easier to clean. And it doesn't get infected. For some reason boys who don't have it done tend to get infections

I'm having a girl but I know a tad bit about boys seeing as how I have 5 younger brothers... It helps with keeping them cleaner, they don't get as many rashes (that's if he has sensitive skin), and he wont get any or as many urinary tract infections
