That's not too early to get braxton hicks contractions but they shouldn't hurt, and they shouldn't last 10 or 15 minutes. They last usually less than a minute.
With Braxton Hicks contractions, if you are slender you can feel your uterus tighten by putting your hand on your belly - your uterus forms a hard knot but it feels like someone encased it in elastic and squeezed tight - it doesn't hurt.
I think you need to discuss this with your doctor.
i get painful braxton hicks too that started at 17 weeks but not painful to the point that you're describing. i would definitely call your doctor or l&d asap. this could very well be a sign of premature labor.
