breast implants and breastfeeding

this has nothing to do with ttc but i am ttc and i have to know before i make a big decision.so i plan on having my breast done before summer comes. i want the saline implants at about mayb a 30c or a 38b i now wear a 28a or sometimes i can even go without bras or were childrens training bras. anyways i just had a questions if i get pregnant at anytime after ive gotten the implants will it interfere with breast feeding and can it harm the baby as saline is just salt water they give it to you in the hospital through your iv and to clean out open wounds. well anyone who has breast implants or knows someone who has them and loves them or even regrets them some insight would be great and anyone who knows something about breastfeeding as well.

I agree with waiting until you are done having kids. If you plan to nurse your children your breasts will change like the other ladies said. For some they will enlarge and stay that way, or they may enlarge while you are pregnant and breastfeeding but then return to your pre-pregnancy size. That is what happened with me, they never stayed the same size as when I was pregnant or nursing (unfortunately lol). That can cause your breasts to sag or have less volume, and if you paid a lot of money for an augmentation you might be unhappy with them after nursing if they do lose volume. If you waited until after having your kids the implant could make up for any damage that was done. That being said, I understand that breastfeeding is possible after breast surgery as long as the ducts weren't damaged by the surgeon. Something you wouldn't know until you tried to nurse. My stepmother had an augmentation and was unable to breastfeed, but there are other women who have done it. The implant itself should not cause damage to the baby.

I agree with AnnieBrooke- wait to get anything done until you are DONE having children. Your breasts will swell and change with pregnancy.

If you get pregnant, your breasts will grow, or at the very least, they will change.  I would put off getting a breast job until after you see what pregnancy does to them.  It's not the saline that is the issue, it is that the saline is in a plastic sack, and the whole thing could interfere with ducts that produce milk.  Also, if you enlarge your breasts now and then pregnancy enlarges them too (mine went up two band sizes and three cup sizes), you might wind up with "too much of a good thing."  A lot of women wait to do any plastic surgery until after having their last baby, so they can tune up and tighten up anything they want at that time without being concerned that all the expensive plastic surgery is going to be blown out of the water by a subsequent pregnancy.  Good luck in any case.

you would really need to ask your surgeon that question... I am pretty sure that it is possible but im not sure.... I had a breast reduction and I am told that I have a 1 in 3 chance of breastfeeding without any issues....
