It will be a fight. But if you two aren't together and are not going to be, then it would be easier for you in the future when it comes to your child going to school and such for you to have the same last names.  Ultimately your choice.

You have to go through the pain so you pick the name if he wants to pick the name let him push the baby out. This is my second child with my bf i really picked out the names but let him think that he picked. The only thing he got was the last name if he really knew.

People will talk I'm sure if you change it but it is YOUR baby. If you want your son to have your last name, do it. Many feel a baby having the fathers last name is a honor type thing. My son would have his fathers last name even if we weren't together. I saw it that's his father no matter if I hate him or not. The choice is up to you though. Do what you would like. Don't let others get to you.

I think is up to you not the others. It happen to me when I had my first bby I had deside not to put on his last name because he was an ***.. My family got on me n tell me why wold I do that. Now my doughter is 9 yrs old hes never bn involved in her life n she hates his last name n she tells me to change it..

I thought the exact same thing If mine ever bailed on me. I don't think It's wrong. If he doesn't want to be In the kid's life, then why does he have a say In It. I'm juss assumin' since you said "EX" hopefully he will still help you out, I really do hope so, but If he doesn't want to make things better with you, I say do whatever you please!
