c section question...

Have any of you had to schedule one? What were the circumstances? And how far along were you?
Thank you :)

I did, I chose a repeat c-section after my first emergency c-section, doctor gave me 2 dates to pick from and I chose one, and they did the pre op. where I met with an anesthesiologist, and met at the hospital for my c-section! Absolutely LOVED my c-section experience, especially since it was planned, it was so calming, so relaxing, and absolutely beautiful, honestly I wouldn't have had it any other way! Healing is really really not that bad either. I'll post you the link to my planned c-section experience in case you're interested! Good luck!!

I had an emergency c sec almost 6 years ago at 42w1d with my son after 33+ hours of hard labor, I only dilated 2 cm and his h/r dropped. I was miserable in pain for weeks after. I had my second planned with my daughter 2 years ago at 39 weeks it was much much easier, I did have a panic attack & almost backed out but the dr offered a tiny bit of Valium to take the edge off not enough to harm baby and I was fine, I actually started falling asleep on the table my husband had to keep waking me. I was walking 3 hours after I had her, but the shoulder gas pains were almost unbearable I felt like I couldn't breathe but walking helps. I'm having my 3rd in July, nervousness still but it'll all be okay

I went into labor naturally with my 1st a week early. I pushed for 4 hours and she just wouldn't come through my pelvis (pelvis to narrow and she was 9.2 lbs) pushing started to effect her heart rate and my blood pressure so doc called an emergency section. I went in or at 3:30pm and she was delivered at 3:49pm. I was up and walking next day. Worst part for me was the gas pain in my shoulder from the surgery/gas pressure. Walking helped a lot !!!! That was 3 yrs ago. I am now 33 weeks with a little boy and set for a repeat section June 10 (only 5 days before due date) I am worriediI will go into labor earlier since my daughter was 7 days early and as big as she was. We shall see but section was soooo much easier in my view.

I ask because my doc said 'we will talk' when i hit 35 weeks.
Im 34 weeks today. I've been experiencing contractions since 31 weeks, my little girl is measuring 2 weeks ahead, she's big, shes breech & my fluid is on high end.
Im scared to go into labor on my own right now & end in an emergency c section situation...
I see doc again this week & will ask more questions but was just curious...

My first baby was born emergency section, through my second pregnancy I was ill with a autoimmune disorder and chose to have a repeat section over vbac because I felt so ill.was sceduled for 39wks but went into labour 37+6 during this section the doctors found my scar had started to separate. So now with my third I have to have section at 37wks so that I dont go into labour at all. 6 weeks to go! :)
