castor oil

My Friends Mom Who's A Neonatal Nurse Told Me To Consider Castor Oil To Start Moving Things Along. Anybody Heard Of Doing This Or Have Done It Themselves? My Husband SaysHis Mom Did It In An Attempt To Start Labor With Him At 40 Weeks And She Just Threw Up For Hours. :/ I Really Don't Want to Be Induced But IM Not Progressing Even With Having ad Contractions ForTwo Weeks... Doctor Is Giving Me Until My.Next Appointment on wednesday

My grandmother tried to start her labor with castor oil and all it did was give her severe diaherra and put my mom and uncle (twins) at high risk due to severe dehydration! Please please please do NOT try castor oil!

I asked my doctor about castor oil this past Wednesday at my appointment she stated there's no actual proof it can cause labor she did stress to me to not take it at all which I wasn't planning on.doing anyway but just wanted to know her views on it she said it makes some ppl just have contractions for no reason n.still want actually start labor really just depends on the person body or will give u bad diaherra she said a natural way is walking

Lots of walking should get that baby ready.

I tried it with both mine & it just made me sick. My grandma did it with all 7 of hers & was in labor within 4 hours with each

Please do not use castor oil.. i wanted to but when i do constant readin it & its not 100% safe..

I tried castor oil at 37 weeks walked around the casino for two hours and few hours later had intercourse and right after my water broke..so it worked for me

If you do research castor oil is a 50/50 shot and theres really no proof it starts labor, just that if you happen to be in early stages of labor then it CAN progress things. A lot of practices used even in the 90s are no longer used and even though some had great results whether by science or chance, bc theres no evidence that can even show what triggers labor naturally. If you want to use castor oil though, I would run it by my doctor and if you get the green light go for it. I believe recommended dose is 2tbsp but ive heard the taste is terrible. Good luck momma

I would walk up and down stairs alot thats what I did. I mean thats a healthy way and swimming but you dont know it your water breaks really but they do help some people instead of things or stuff your not sure about.
