The stitch will come out at about 34/36 weeks. When i had mine taken out at 34 weeks i didnt have contraction untill i was 38 weeks 5 days. Some people when they have it taken out go straight in to labour. Good luck for thursday. x

I agree.  I know someone whose cervix started opening at 20 weeks, she was put on bedrest (in the hospital until 32 weeks, then sent home to remain on bedrest) immediately.  She was fortunate and ended up carrying the baby to term and she was born totally healthy.  She was told that the next time she gets pregnant she'll have to be stitched up at 14 weeks and on bedrest from then.on.

If you have a weak cervix then a cervical stitch is needed. I had my first child at 25 weeks then my next pregnancy i had a stitch put in and i made it to 39 weeks. Talk to your doctor.
