circumcision..

For those having boys are you going to circumcise your son? I've been reading up on it and I'm not exactly sold on the idea.. if you are circumcising your son what made you decided to? Or not to...

My baby boys getting snipped. Every boy in my family is, my religion says to do so, and from a personal experience a uncircumcised pee pee freaks me out. I don't wont my son to be made fun of in school because you know how mean school kids are and I heard its pretty pricey to get if fine later in life. But that's just my opinion. Do what you thinks best for your baby and not pressured by other people :)

There is no medical reason to do so its more about religion girls get circumcised aswell in order to get married Google it its sad how they think god will order such an awful thing I'm glad I wasn't born in any of those places were they been practicing circumcision for centuries girls get it done around 7 to 10 and poor families don't have enough for pain medication and most die or get an infection such as an std and it just bring them health problems all so they won't be cheating on there husbands when there gone they say that's why the USA has a high rate of infidelity

I think alot of you have misleading information on this. Circumcision is not at all a necessaty. It use to be done mainly for religious beliefs and now its just 'popular'. Why would god make us the way we are for people to go and chop some skin off that they think shouldn't be there. It is a myth that an uncircumsized penis is more prone to infections-the penis is self cleaning under the foreskin. I married into a Muslim family, my husband is one of 7 boys whom are all circumcised..we decided we would not be having our son circumcised, we did a lot of research and also because our first child was born with a lot of health problems in which she has had numerous surgeries for-she has suffered. Simply, after watching a child/baby go through that i couldn't imagine putting my baby boy through unnecessary pain/surgery.

If you do have him circumcised, just keep in mind there are different methods to do it. My son was cut and it healed great. Some people used a banding method that simply cuts off blood circulation. I recommend getting a wipe warmer if you choose the cutting method. You have to spread ointment on it for a few days and if you keep the ointment warm, it's easier to spread. Just thought I'd share a little tip that was passed to me.

I am going to get my son circumcised. I want it done now, for cleanliness reasons. My husband convinced me it is the right thing, and he would know better than me

We have decided not to. Circumcision is not necessary and is really linked to religion and media. It wasn't until recently that it was popular. I always thought I would get my son. Until I found out my fiance isn't and I didn't even notice! I also found out my brother wasn't. If you clean it then it doesn't get infected just like every other body part. No one I know has had to be hospitalized or even got infected at all for not being circumcised. Honestly my fiance is the best sex I've ever had haha sorry tmi

I'm having a boy and he for sure is gonna be circumsized. my first son was.. I worked at a day and had a couple babies and toddlers that werent circimsized and while changing them its a lot of work to keep it clean and if you dont clean it right or well enough it could cause really bad infections in that area.. i have also read about it and what i have read about a none circumsized penis is scary..

I am going to I remember my brother got a ton of rash issues bc of not getting it right away. I hear it's hard to clean if it is not cut.

I haven't heard of many ppl not having it done. It is a personal choice but keep in mind its better to go ahead and do it at birth than when they get older.

Our son will be simply for health reasons and much better for him in the long run plus the rest of the family is done yes it is pricey but i would never put money before his health id rathe him be happy and healthy from the beginning then have to go through it older looks much better and reduces infections stds etc.

yep. They will be snipped lol. I have a very close friend of mine who isn't snipped and he said he's been in and out of Dr for infections because of it no matter how well he kept him self clean. Really isn't worth them having problems when they get older...dnt know how true this is so I'm gonna ask my Dr. But they are even doing it to girls? I dk why but that's what I've heard.. could be wrong tho

I had my son circumcised. My reasons were because it's healthier for them, they necessarily don't feel so much pain since they do it at a young age, his dad is circumcised as well and like one of the other girl said it looks so much better.

It's pretty expensive here but we're still going to get our boy done. His dad is, and I'd rather him have it done when he's little, doesn't remember and heal in under a day rather than him have to (or want to) get it done when he's older.

We decided we will be circumcising our son in may when he's born. He will be too young to remember it so he won't realize if it hurts or not, it's better for cleaning purposes when he gets older, and all of the men in out families are circumcised.

Why are you leaning toward not circumcising your son, if I may ask? Just curious

We're having our son circumcised since for one, ALL of the boys In my family has had It done, my boyfriend as well Is circumcised, but most Importantly, I personally believe the health benefits clearly outweigh the risks as It can help prevent numerous factors (HPV, Std's, Penile cancer, keeps In cleaner, etc.). One of my ex's wasn't circumcised and he hated It and he had to get surgery done when he was around 17. I don't really like the way It looks uncircumcised but that's juss me and my personal taste. It's more of a hassle and chaos the older they get to have It done, or so I heard by my ex. In my opinion, I think It's the better option.

I have 2 boys and 2 brothers 8 and 5 and my 5 year old brother ended up having issues not being circumsized so he had to have surgery at 5 for it and recovery was rough on him and traumatizing of course that doesn't always happen but it's possible both my boys are done because I didn't wanna risk the surgery it was not bad at all healed in day or two.. An also my husband is done and he is gonna be teaching them too pee so we didn't want them to feel different or question it ..

I always said before I got pregnant that if I had a boy I would because its the norm. But Now that I'm actually having a boy and the more I read the more undecided I get, I'm having him next week and still have no idea.
