club foot

I'm 21 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. At 18 weeks on her ultrasound it shows my Polka has club foot in both feet. Has anyone had a child with that deformity? How did you go through treatment? How is your baby doing and did during treatment? I'm very nervous. I don't want my baby to go through any pain or hardships.

I seen the fetal development specialist the next day for a repeat ultrasound and it was confirmed.  But they said everything else on her is fine. I go back to the fetal specialist at 28weeks just to check her progress.

My niece was born with a club foot. She had a daughter born with 2 club feet. My k other niece is pregnant right now with a little girl with a club foot. Yes they have had to have surgeries & they are painful, however, they don't remember the surgery and my niece who is older now u can't even tell. Her daughter just turned 2 & runs all over the place. So it's all fixable:)

My friends son had club feet, he had a few surgeries in his first few years of life. I know as a infant when learning how to crawl/walk was diffcult because he was in and out of casts. Hes now 12 and plays all sports, runs no differnt then any other kid. Good luck with everything!!! Everything will work out.

My step brother was born with a club foot. They had to break it and do surgery on it when he was born, which left some scars. It's a size smaller than his other foot, but other than it rarely getting sore, it didn't affect him. He was a typical boy, playing sports, skateboarding, bike riding, hiking, running..whatever. very few people even noticed his foot as we were growing up

i cant answer any of that seeing as iv never been thru that
BUT i can say make sure u get many more opinioins from other docs! they arnt always right! my little cousin was suppose to be born with all her organs outside her body, and with brain damage they said she would be born dead
when she was born she looked normal all parts where they were supose to be and she was alive the docs said she would only live about 2 hours n then she would pass away, she lived! n then they said she would be living a life with disabilitys if she lived past a month

she is almost a year old and is as normal n healthy as a baby can be! she went to a different doc n the doc told her mom(my aunt) that she has not even a slight sign of what the other docs were saying. n that she just a perfect little baby girl

all i can say is do a bunch of reseach n get more opionins

i wish ur baby well!!
