The Dr may tell you to warm a small amount of 100% grape juice or to eat prunes as both can have a decent laxative effect without affecting baby

I always found that drinking at least 10-12 cups (8oz) of water (you will pee a lot) helped get things moving along. Just dedicate an entire day chugging water. Don't get sick though!

Soft and sweet pears before bed as the last thing you eat always helps soften stool for me when constipated. Also you can try have fresh apple or orange juice (not from concentrate) before breakfast each morning to get bowels moving. And avoid starchy foods. It's really all in the diet and knowing what foods at what times work for you.

It is quite normal, and common, unfortunately.   Try stool softeners.  If those don't work, increase your fiber intake.  I ate Fiber One bars and those helped a lot.  Good luck.
