contractions? help

Sorry, im a ftm so idk what to expect. But im 34w5d and this morning my stomach hurt so bad it woke me up. My belly felt a little tight and the pain was all over, it felt like a stomach ache or bad gas? And i had cramps too. It lasted for awhile. And once it went away i had mild lower back pain for about an hour. I was able to fall back asleep and that pain only happened once. Also i felt like i had to poop, but didn't. Was that a contraction?? Im only almost 35 weeks pregnant, so idk if i should be experiencing that this soon.

Thanks for your help ladies. My doctors office is pretty confident that it was just Braxton Hicks contractions. I was surprised because i didn't know they could hurt that much. But since it hasn't happened again, it must not be labor! :)

I called the labor and delivery department at my hospital and she said they can't give medical advice? She said i could come in and get checked or call my doctor and get their advice. So i guess ill call,my doctors office once they get back from lunch and see what they say.
