At 34 weeks, you'll most likely have braxton hicks contractions fairly often. With my first pregnancy, I wasn't sure what they were until I had one at my doctor's office and she said that is what it was. For me it wasn't painful (though for others they can be), but felt like the baby's head was pushing out of my stomach. My stomach would tighten and get hard like a basketball for several seconds and for the longest time I just thought it was the baby moving funny...but with this pregnancy, I am 22 weeks, I already feel them - since I now know what they are, though they aren't very strong at all yet.
Like the others said, if they aren't relieved by moving around and changing positions or water or laying down, it may be real contractions, in which case, call the doctor!
im 34 weeks pregnant today and i think i experienced the braxton hicks contractions.... had a lot of bach pain with them...
True contractions are not relieved but an 8oz glass of water, resting on your left side for an hour and wake you when you are sleeping. True contractions cause you to make cervical change. I don't know how far along you are. They can feel like a squeezing and then release, can feel like back pain that comes and goes. Regardless, try 8oz glass of water, resting on left side (for good blood flow to baby) and then if it doesn't resolve call your OBGYN office. If you are early, hydration can cause contractions and lead to UTI which will also cause contractions and UTI infection which require antibiotics. Goodluck and take care.
In pregnancy there found uterine contractions that are regular rhythmical ( Braxon-Hicks)but before the labor these are weak and gets stronger and stronger as labor starts.
your belly get tight and it feels like you could die. They hurt allot the belly is the only one to tell if they are not that painful yet.
