contractions

Where do contractions start is at the abdomen or on top of the stomach. Ive been having a pain on the top of my stomach that lasts about a minute idk if its a contraction or something else like indigestion maybe??? No clue.....

Braxton hicks sounds like what your getting now. Wuth just tightening but no pain.

My doctor said its pressure on the top of your stomach area, pushing baby down which causes pressure down low from the baby...

Well the pain stopped now it still gets hard but without the pain. So i guess ill wait if i get it again if not then ill wait till my drs appt on thursday.

Contractions CAN start at the top of the uterus right under your breasts. I've had them start there and at the bottom of my uterus.

As well as the ones that wrap around your back and lower uterus.

My midwife said contractions start from your back and work its way to the center of your stomach thats why they last 30 secs -3 mins ans start all over, I experience the same type of pain your talking about its normal its just braztpn hivks and your cervics trying to thin itself out... Hope this helps.

I got some on top of my stomach & some close to my pelvic after my car accident. Good thing I was at the hospital it took them a while to figure out where to put the little monitor to catch them since my contractions were being funny. I guess they can start either on top or bottom
