don't feel baby moving that much :(

Hi I'm 30 wks pregnant but there's a lot of days that I really don't feel the baby move that much and every time I go to the Dr. The heartbeat is good. Is this normal? Does it happen to anyone else?

Some people have told me it may mean she's a calm baby, so she may be your laid-back kid. There are worse things. :)

What a relief :) I have two other kids but don't remember they being that calm I was starting to get worried but, there are days when she is very active so I guess it must be normal. Thank you girls you made me feel a lot better I will still tell my Dr. To make sure but I feel a lot better!

Same thing happen to me around 30 weeks. They baby seem to have on and off days. I guess I got so use to the lighter kicks that I don't notice them as much anymore. Chances are if you lay still and put your hand on your belly you will feel movement for sure.  Now at 34 weeks I feel everything every day and night because the kicks are much stronger. I think I got a boxer in there sometime, lol.

I've had the same issue all my pregnancy. I felt the first flutters at 14 weeks, the first solid kick around 22, but even as I entered the third trimester I still didn't feel her consistently every day. I'm now 36 weeks and only for the last week or two have I successfully felt her every day. I had ultrasounds every couple of weeks through most of my pregnancy and she was fine, happily squirming away. I think she's not quite as active as other babies but last week I was in an ultrasound and the doc was asking me if I felt her movement (I could see it on the screen) and I didn't. I'd guess some women are just more sensitive to it. It's a little nerve-wracking, I really wish she would kick the heck out of me more, but try not too worry too much. I finally caved and got a home doppler just in case I was really nervous about her and didn't have access to my doctor.

The same thing was happening to me! I found that my little guy would be really inactive for a few days then he would be really active for a day. I was concerned and spoke with my doctor about it, his heartbeat was great and everything was fine. I agree with the other ladies that baby is running out of space and preparing for birth so the position is changing. If you do begin to feel really concerned maybe it is something to bring up to your doctor for some reassurance. Try not to stress and just try to relax for the last few weeks of your pregnancy!

I'm definitely having the same thing, and am also at 30 weeks. Some days I can feel the kid moving about all day, others it seems like hours pass before I notice anything at all. Since his heartbeat is fine I'm trying not to worry too much, but it still makes me worry none the less.

My baby has slowed down a lot since 30wks, I dont get the sharp kicks so much, but I do notice that if I sit nice and still I can feel little movements from baby's body rather than feet and hands, I think its a combination of baby running out of room and starting to settle in the birthing position with their backs running along our bellies so the feet and hands arent the parts nudging us so much now. As long as you are feeling enough movement then dont panic...(I feel mean, but sometimes give baby a wee nudge just to check, I usually get an annoyed kick or he moves to the other side of my belly!)
