I am considering buying a doppler. I'm 11 weeks 3 days. Was just wondering if anyone has purchased one, and if so, how far along were you, and is it easy to find a heartbeat on your own.

For those that rented, where did you rent from?

I also rented one when I was about 12 weeks and I could almost always find his heartbeat and I loved hearing it for reassurance.

We rented on during my last pregnancy 6 years ago.  I could find the heartbeat at home not long after they could find it at the doctor's office (start of 2nd trimester).  It was soooooo much fun!  Just pay attention to where the doctor/nurse finds the baby at your appointments and you should be able to do it at home - you really have to just play around with it.  Once the baby pops out from under the pelvic bone, it is much easier.  I listened to my daughter's heartbeat several times a day throughout my pregnancy just because it was so cool :).  I never found out the gender of any of my kids, but I could never get enough of watching them on ultrasounds and listening to them on the doppler.  Good luck!

My sonoline b is second hand i got for $15. I got mine around 15-16w tho but there was not once that i wasn't able to find the heartbeat. I loved mine n definitely recommend them

I bought the sonoline b for $56 n found the hb at 11 wks it took some searching tho
