This is my second pregnancy and with my first I gained 46lbs , it was hard to loose but I did it plus an extra 10 lbs and than 2yrs later I'm pregnant!! i don't know why I'm having such a hard time dealing with it , must be my emotions today?! :( I have a hard time with my weight as it is than gaining while pregnant makes it tougher...

Hi, sorry it is a hard time.  Yes, that could be hormones making it all seem worse.  It's valid to be concerned about something you struggle with but maybe the hormones just amplify it.  During pregnancy, lots of women take that as a green light to eat like crazy.  While we need more calories, we don't need massive amounts of fat and 'craving food' when it isn't healthy for us.  So, just keep eating healthy.  Don't diet but you don't have to substantially increase your food.  Then you'll gain weight.  My doctor wans women to gain around 25 to 35 pounds max.  I gained more than that but was a skinny girl that really probably hadn't EVER been eating enough calories a day.  (wow, that has changed over the years by the way).  I have friends who only gained the 25 pounds.  And because most of it was associated with the baby, they lost it pretty easy.  So, keep eating healthy and exercise.  We aren't fragile during pregnancy where we shouldn't continue exercising . . .   unless we have a complication that our doctor tells us not to.

So, it might not be as bad as you think if you stick to that.  good luck sweetie
