epidural or no epidural?

Just curious I've heard that it can give you back pain later in life?

I'm gonna have to try that. The first time, I had a pillow and my exes hand. The second time just my mom's hand and I ended up jumping bc it pinched me so I know I deff wasn't curled enough that time

I curled over a pillow with my legs flopped over the side of the bed.  I was hugging the nurse and biting the pillow and do not remember any pain during or after it.  The iv hurt soooo much worse than the epidural.

If you spread your legs, grab your knees and use them to help you ball up it's way easier. Thats what they had me do.

I really don't know how they expect us to ball up so much with a beach ball for a belly. I tried but I didn't wanna squish my baby so that is prlly where it went wrong for me the first time

Oh yea along with the don't move, you have to curve your back to open the space between your vertibrae.  Curve like you've never curved before! Makes it less likely for complications.

The docs say no, but u sign a form basically saying if they paralyze u then you can't sue. I know plenty of people that have back issues now including myself, some temporary and some long lasting, but I also know many ppl that it didn't affect at all. It just depends if they can find the right place, how experienced they are, and if you move..DON'T move!!

It's a 50-50 situation, I've had friends say they have a but of pain at the injection site. I myself had a spinal for a c-section same procedure, different drugs, and I've never had any lasting back issues.
