false labor?

Hey everyone, I'm starting to feel some contractions!! I'm not sure if its BH or not. I have been getting them off and on all day. I had them really intensely twice and had bowl movements right afterwards. Now they have came back and are light but constant. I don't feel a break in between them. I'm 34 weeks.

There has been no bloody show but I feel pressure in that area. My mucus plug has slowly been coming out for the past week now. I feel sick to my stomach, nauseous and a little dizzy. I have drank 7 glasses of water today.. The baby has been moving just fine. Right now the pain is mainly on my lower left side with occasional light pains in my perenium (sp?) with a constant tightness between my ribs and belly button.

Probably a false alarm right?? I dont know, I'm kind of scared because it isn't going away. I'm trying to finish my final exams but this sensation is persistent

I agree with the ladies! You need to go A.S.A.P......... Like right now!! Please let us know, its early but not too early! But you need to make sure that everything is ok with the baby.... Good Luck!

the baby could be in distress that's  why he is movin so much.  i understand u not wanting to spend the evening in L and D.  just go and make sure everythin is fine with ur son.  just go to be on the safe side since u are in pain off and on. good luck

Also, when in labor does the baby move a whole lot? This little guy is bouncing around everywhere in there!

Ok she said to go in. But the contractions have stopped now and I feel fine other then some shooting pains down there. And I'm still dizzy

I'm waiting for my BF to get home from work. He gets back in like 30 mins

what should I do? I dont want to spend my evening in L & D if I dont have to

I just had to go to L&D for the exact same reason...I mean the exact feelings you're having now...on Sunday, and turns out I was contracting every 2mins (painfully) I'm 34wks as well.  I was 1 1/2cm dialated, 70%effaced, &  -1station.  They gave me a narcotic called Nubain and that didnt slow the contractions down.  They then gave me Demerol and WOO BABY BABY was I loopy but the contractions slowed down to maybe every 11-13mins apart.  I stayed for a few hours and didnt make any cervical change so they sent me home.  Being that I'm only 34wks they didnt give me anything to stop it (b/c I wouldnt allow them) but they wouldnt give me any pitocin to help my labor along either.  So I say if they dont slow down please go and ahead and go b/c you just never know.  You could be making cervical change and you dont want to risk having that baby at home.  Let us know what they say!

i say head to Labor  and Delivery to be safe.  It seems ur contractions are goin and comin. sounds like labor but i may be wrong

Well you should call your doctor and they will tell you what to do.  Time the contractions.  Do this now, don't wait.
