first period after delivery

the ftm forum isn't that active, so I decided to post here.

after I had my son , 7-31 I bled for 4 weeks. so I was good 2 weeks before my 6week pp appt. ever since the pp bleeding stopped at 4 weeks, I have yet to have a period. my son will be 3 months on the 31st.

I'm not breastfeeding, as I kno that can delay it. I also kno our hormones are still outa wack ..but is this long normal ? i took a hpt 11 days ago and it came up negative.

however , in between ive had spotting for a day or two at a time, but I think it's from sex. as it happens after me & my bf have sex. so I'm not sure if this long is normal, I'm not stressin it so that can't be the reason it's so delayed.

Some women even without breastfeeding can go awhile ( up to a year ) without getting their period. you are fertile though so be sure to use protection unless you want number 2 in 9 months lol. I bleed for a week and then had off and on spotting from the birth control I start at 3 weeks and then got my period at 7 weeks on the dot. and I breastfed up until 5 weeks. Everyone's body is different

i would be too concerned just yet....your body is just trying to get back to normal...my friend has had 4 children and each time after birth never got a period until they were 4 months old...if your concerned tho, talk to your doc :) and definetly use condoms because i heard its soooo easy to get pregnant again right away
