With my son I got the epidural & it only worked on half my body. & so they me lay on one side but his heart rate kepted going down & had many problems before that. But epidural didn't work for me unfortunately. & I could feel all my pain in my butt to it's hurt so bad & was very weird. Lol

I done my first 2 kids labour both natural and plan doing this labour the same. Yes It hurts a lot but if that's how you really want to do labour then stick to it, you forget all about the pain the second your holding your baby

I had mine a little early, I'm terrified of needles too so I closed my eyes and refused to look behind me to the nurse administrating the shot, it sorta hurt but afterword I got so tired I was finally able to rest until my little Arya arrived.

But it made me sick twice, one for each bag they gave me, first time I threw up all the water I drank, second time it was basically stomach acid. I also ran a fever and felt like I was in a sauna during pushing. But that was just my reaction

I had my son naturally and will have this one naturally too. Childbirth is pain but all of that pain goes towards something happening. It's Not pointless. That being said, my first son was 4.2kgs and I had to lay down because his heart rate went up. I recommend not laying down on your back!! It is the worst position. This time I plan to have a water birth :) Goodluck.  And don't listen to horror stories about natural births. It is 100% achievable

I'm a 1st time mom as a matter of fact I'm baby is just a week ole and I was just scared of getting epidural I was head strong on doing natural birth and for 13 hours I went with out anything I found sitting up I could deal with my contractions better but my last to hours I couldn't handle the pain any more so I got the epidural and it really isn't bad I promise u only feel wen they numb your back u never feel anything after that not wen theyre giving the epidural.u never see the  needle either...my labor in all was 15 hours, those last two hours I got to sleep and was well rested wen it was time to push,I pushed with ease and out came my princess
