I called my doc earlier to schedule an appointment for Monday to get the shot, and they refuse to give the whooping cough shot to pregnant women before they're 24 weeks.

My little brother just got home from the hospital, diagnosed with the flu. He's been quarantined in his room. If I don't have it before Monday, then I will probably get the shot.

My kids are being tested for having the flu. It's awful. I didn't get it and it could cause a big problem. I'd say get it. I have a 2-5-7 year old that are potty trained with diaper rash u wouldn't believe. My 5 year old is in gauze diapers and is deathly afraid to poop. It took half a tube of a&d to convince him it'd just slide out. :(

Got my flu shot as well...it helps protect the baby from the flu....as babies can't get them till 6 months or so. I felt fine after mine. I haven't gotten whooping cough though....hasn't been recommended, guess ill AK at my appt Tuesday.

I never did with my first she was also born in Dec don't plan to now. My doc asked but let me decide. I've never gotten the flu or the vaccine don't think its necessary.

My hubby and I don't do shots at all not even with our children. Our daughter is extremely healthy and rarely even gets a cold or anything. No she is not sheltered either we take her everywhere with us.

When I got my Flu Shot I was 25 or so weeks.. I felt fine. Its your choice, but I am glad I got it tho. And I was freaking out about if I should or not. Then I thought if it was bad they wouldnt recommend it so I felt better after I did. Its to protect you and the baby as well!!

I am 36+3 as of today. I went to my OB and talked to her about the Flu Shot. She said it was recommended. I actually was nervous to get the shot as well. I disnt want to harm my baby. But when I had my next appt I told her that I might consider getting one. If your pregnant the Flu Shot they will give you isnt the same as what a normal shot would be. It has the chemicals thatare safe for pregnant women. Ask your OB if they give them at the office, that might make you feel better. It did me. Good Luck Mommas!
