glucose test
If you throw up the drink they give you after you drink it can they still give you an accurate test? Just curious I go in tomorrow to have the test.
I've never done this test, I'm 17wks & had sugar in my pee so they sent me for blood work "glucose reading" but I never drank anything, I go today to see if I have diabetes, unless they are trapping me & I'll be drinking something today lol they never said anything
@babyboy111... well if you fail both then that means u have diabetes.... but its normal for pregnant women and they will put u on a strict diet.... and most likely u will have to be on insilyn... (I think thats how u spell it).... but ur baby could be born with it I think only if u dont follow the diet... thank GOD I passed the 2nd time.... have u raken yours??
I had mine thus morning at 28 Weeks and had one done at 16Weeks too and the drink its nasty but worth keeping down so you won't have to have it done again lol. I ate like crap all morning at mine was at 130 thus afternoon and I passed with flying colors,
I had to do the 3 hour test, its the same amount of drink as the 1 hour test. They will reschedule u if u throw up, at least that is what I was told. The drink isn't that bad, kinda like really sweet kool aid. I unfortunately couldn't keep anything down for 3 months so as soon as the 1 hour was up I threw up everything. If u can handle sweet juice I think u can keep it down unless u havent been keeping anything down.
How much do you have to drink? I go for my test in 3 weeks and im a ftm so I'm not sure how much they give ya to drink

I really doubt that it will but just make sure ur last meal is a bad one... thats what happen to me... the first time I had a soup for dinner which contains a lot of sodium ....and I failed that one.... my second glucose test I made sure to eat chicken salads all week!! Lol especially the night before... and I passed!! Good luck!!

Yes lemon...uhm tasted like 7 up with a lot of sugar!!!! Lol I hear the have rasberry too...
If I had sugar cookies w/milk for breakfast... Would it show on my glucose test tomorrow and not let me pass it.. and also I don't drink that much water.. should I wait another day?
Reallly lemon ? Well I had my son 5 years ago so I guess that explains it lol I go for my glucose testing for this pregnanct in about 3 weeks thanks for the heads up idk how pemon is going to go lol anything like lemonade ? I hopeee
I've had the orange for the 1 hour test and fruit punch for the 3 hour one..is not that bad and the 1 hour one is done in no time..
Yeh if u throw up they just reschedule you when I did that they made me do the 3 hour one right off the bat
Just think of it as orange kool aid lol plug your nose do what u have to do just try not to throw up but I will tell u its not as bad as many make it out to be, you'll do fine (:
When I took my test they told me that if I throw up that they would have to reschedule me..... the drink is not bad its not the best but its not the worst!! And I had to take the dumb test twice!! :(.... good luck!!
