glucose???

What's a glucose test?  & what do you half to do? I hear a lot of lady's talk about it but idk what it is I think I have an idea but can someone please tell me lol

I had it done once at 28 weeks I had to drink that nasty drink wait a hour then they took blood out of my arm I passed it so I didnt have to do it again my mom had GD when she was pregnant with me I was 10lb 11oz when I was born thank god I dont have it.

i had it done twice... in the beginning nd then juss recently a week ago... they pricked my finger first to test my sugars i guess nd then i drank the drink waited an hour nd took blood... wasnt as bad as the first time tho..

Mine was done differently. They took blood from.my arm(not just a prick on the finger) then made me drink the sugary stuff, then wait an hour, take more blood, then wait another hour and take the last lot of blood. I wasn't allowed to eat from midnight the night before and no water once the rest begins.

that explains it.. I was hypoglycemic before pregnancy. the baby seemed to even me out tho and it was pretty much non existent

They only do it twice usually whenyou're high risk. High risk is 2 or more factors out of the six, for example im over weight, and diabetes runs in my family, so i was tested at 12 weeks, and i get tested tomorrow, like another person said, you drink basically liquid flavored sugar tey give you 5 minutes where i go, i dunno if its different other places, then i sit for an hour, ajd then they take some blood and im free to go.

my dr did one in the begining and one towards the end.. I dont remember how many weeks I was for them

its the sugar test.. they make you down this really sweet drink they give you and they wait about an hour depending on the drs office and then they prick your finger to test your blood sugar level to see if you have gestational diabeties .. has to be done 2 times throughout your pregnancy
