heart beat

Hey everyone!!
I am 6 weeks and 1 day. i went to the OB yesterday and had my first ultrasound. we could see the heartbeat but it was too soon to hear it. my baby's heart rate was 89 bpm, i have to go back in two weeks for a follow up ultrasound to make sure everything is okay.

Should i be concerned about 89bpm? Is that extremely low? i miscarried this past january so losing this baby is a HUGE fear!!  help!!

A normal heartbeat at 6-7 weeks would be 90-110 beats per minute. That was my babys heartbeat at 61/2 weeks I am now 40+3 with a healthy baby boy . Dont worry momma , I know its hard I've suffered a m/c and its something someone won't understand till they go threw it . I'm sorry you endured that . But just try to not stress . Congrats mommy

Can I just say that it was super duper sweet of you to ask! I called my OB this morning to check on my prenatel bloodwork and there are no results.  She said my ultrasound was perfect that everything that should have shown would have and that if the doctor was concerned she would have me in sooner than 2 weeks. I should find out everything tomorrow. I think once I see my hormones are raising I'll relax. There is no bleeding or cramping! Just complete exhaustion! Lol you are such a doll! Thank you soo much!! :))

I just got back from the dr. I'm actually 7 weeks and 1 day so the hb was 142bpm. I thought I was only 6w 4d. But I did ask her if the hb gets stronger as you get farther along and she said yes and as long as there's no bleeding or cramping u should be just fine!

Don't cause yourself to stress or worry over it. Just wait and see what your next appointment outcome is like, and what your doctor has to say. I'm sure if anything was seriously wrong right now they would have told you. A friend of mine was about as far along as you and they did her first ultrasound and they told her something wasn't right then and there. So don't fret, if there were any indications I'm sure you would have known. Besides baby is still forming and their heart only just begins to have a beat at 5 weeks. You're very early so don't be discouraged, and good luck, and congrats!

My doctor told me when your early the heartbeat isn't as fast and will get stronger as you get farther along. I think you'll be just fine :)

Yes please! The doctor said shes not too concerned, that it will probably pick up over the next two weeks. i feel like if she was really concerned, she would have me in this week. I just am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best! good luck! Let me know!

I just did some google research and a lot of people are saying 90-110 is normal for 6 weeks. So im holding my breathing, saying prayers and hoping my baby keeps fighting!
