heart shaped uterus
I don't even know that I am pregnant. But, I am really curious to know.....I have heart shaped uterus. Is it appropriate to have sex during pregnancy. In the past I had one miscarriage in which the moment I came to know that I am pregnant, we had sex and then I have spotting which continued. I went through series of test and finally doctor advise me that its a case of threatened pregnancy. I am really scared. PLEASE ADVISE

She said 'in the past' about her threatened miscarriage. Sorry to correct you, wanted to clear up the confusion. I believe she's scared of another one possibly happening, because she thinks she may be pregnant again..? Am I right jkpk?

A heartshaped, or bicornuate, uterus is one in whcih the two halves of the uterus did not fuse completely. A septate uterus is one where the halves fused, but the middle section did not reabsorb completely -- it is easier to understand if your doc draws a picture.
Both can be corrected, the septated uterus is easier to fix, and removing the septum can improve pregnancy outcome. Both can be diagnosed by saline infusion ultrasound or MRI
Do a search on Mullarian Anomalies as that is the tecnical term for your condition.
I cannot find ANYTHING about heart-shaped uteruses causing miscarriages or reproductive harm. The only thing I've seen is that babies are typically breech and you'd need a c-section.

There is nothing you have done to cause your miscarriage. Sex does not cause miscarriages. Sex is appropriate during pregnancy unless you are advised by your doctor to not have sex. If you are scared, then don't take the risk.
A miscarriage occurs because of a few things. A uterine abnormality, a genetic abnormality caused by a defective egg or sperm, or low progesterone.
