heartburn

HORRIBLE heartburn! What can I do to help relieve it? And why does it happen with anything I eat???

I would always put a spoonful of baking soda in a glad of water drink that.. Or for some reason sprite always helped me

It happens because your hormones cause the valve that keeps that acid down to relax. That's why most treatments are only temporary. It's not that you are eating the wrong foods or too much food, it's that the valve is open and allowing the acid to be pushed up. Because you are only able to take so much medicine a day, peppermint and ginger help in between doses.

Zantac and or tums rolaids!

My on tells me to take a zantac. Swallow a pill and relief within a few minutes for a long time......baby is pushing on everything causing digestion challenges...

i went to doctors and got given some peptac liquid which is basically gaviscon. but we have maternity exempltion in UK so its free... ive just had to have some as its 3am and im up with bad wind and acid reflux. yuk.

I have it bad to. I will chug a glass of milk and than sip on another and tht helps me. Goodluck!

Idk why it happens... But you can drink milk, eat some bread... Eat slowly...

I can't take Tums anymore... But I have gavascon. Take. That. Over tums.... I promise you.

Little pricey, but totally beyond worth it. Instant relief
