Don't read things like that while pregnant. You will just stress yourself out! You've made it through the first trimester. Just keep doing what your doing and stay away from scary baby stories!
Here is what my fertility dr told me about the odds of miscarrying. One in four pregnancies will end in a miscarriage. If you make it to 12 weeks the odds of a miscarriage go down to less than 1%. I have had 3 miscarriages and there's nothing you can really do to prevent them. I had been on prematals several months before we started trying I ha lost about 25 pounds and had changed my diet and I was the healthiest I had been since high school and there was just something wrong with the fetus. it happens unfortuneately. I am 16 weeks now with my 5th pregnancy and so far so good :) you still need to eat well and take care of yourself but at this point the odds of something going wrong are very low. Congrats on the baby!!
Yeah sometimes it happens... The last time I was pregnant, I went in for my second prenatal appointment. I was supposed to be 10weeks4days. I wasn't having any bleeding... no cramping.. still had pregnancy symptoms... and they couldn't find the hb on the Doppler. They took me in to have an emergency ultrasound.. and there was no heartbeat. Baby stopped growing at 9weeks3days. ): I was heart broken. It confused me that nothing changed... I had no idea...
But!!!! You are already 16 weeks. That's good. One month and you'll be halfway! Although complications can happen at any point of a pregnancy... if you're doing everything you can... like not smoking.. no caffeine.. eating healthy.. taking prenantals.. you're doing good.
If anything happens.. its not your fault.. it can't be prevented.. everything happens for a reason. (;
Good luck on your pregnancy.
just by you keeping healthy, eating the right foods, getting good fluid intake, having enough sleep, keeping stress to a minimum etc, your body will do the rest. Usually when things go wrong, there may have been something wrong with bub etc, but sometimes unexpected things do happen and nothing can stop that, so just take good care of yourself and its probably about 99 % of pregnancies have a happy outcome :)
