i had the d&c

I had the dnc two Tuesday ago. And this Wednesday went in for a blood test for hcg.  Today the call me to.come in for another ultrasound because the hcg is rising not decrease. They not telling me anything!

It was suppose to be outpatient but end up I had to stay over night! I lost my left tube! They said because they didn't found it out on time

My Dr now said that he did miss the ectopic pregnancy that what Im having right now. My second surgery is tonight!

I'm sorry your going through this after what is already a difficult experience.

It doesn't happen all that often, but sometimes after a d&c there can still be retained tissue (basically it was missed).  This can cause your body to still think it is pregnant, and your hcg levels can rise.  Again, not common, but it does happen.  An ultrasound will confirm this if it is the case.  I'm not a Dr. but sadly have a lot of experience with miscarriage and d&c's, and I would strongly suspect this is what has happened.
