inducing tomorrow. questions!

So tomorrow morning, if the hospital isn't busy I'm suppose to go in at 8am to be induced. They are starting me with Cervidil. Has anyone had this done, if so what was your experience with it? Should I eat before I go in - the hospital said I could but I know some things they give you make you sick.. a little nervous but ready to meet my daughter. Any other suggestions from mommies who had to be induced?

Either way labor is going to be painful. I was induced and was told not to eat but I'm guessing every doctor is different. My labor was like 16 hours . I was dialating really slow and doctor had to brake my bag and add more stronger contractions I also was having back labor so it was horrible until the last 4 hours I asked for the epidural and they still took like a hour more to get it after that I didn't feel much until I started pushing. :) good luck

Well I've had the cervidil in for almost 5 hours now. I haven't even had any mild cramping from it. It did not hurt when they inserted it next to my cervix. I had to be hooked up to monitor my baby's heart beat & bp for 2 hours. Since both of us seemed fine I was allowed to change back into MY clothes, eat, & go where I please on hospital grounds. They are suppose to check my cervix after it has been in for 12 hours to see if it needs to be left in for another 12 hours. Tonight they plan on giving me sleep meds so I sleep through the night. If I haven't started labor on my own or need further assistance with the process they are giving me pitocin tomorrow morning. Such a long process since I was barely dilated a centimeter & only 80% thinned out.

Thanks for replying to this! If I get a chance I will post my experience for others to read. Doesn't look like baby girl is coming on her own. Hopefully tomorrow wont be a horrible experience. But I know it will be worth it in the end!

Lol I mean popped my water bag and started me on pitocin, was in labor for five hours only but I always here that being induce is more painful then natural labor, in my case it was! Got the epidural after three hours but out didn't work for me, just made me dilate faster, but best of luck too you

I would eat before because as soon as they start to induce you, you can't eat till after you give birth. All I was able to have was ice chips, also I had the cerviral and it was horrible lol sorry but for me the contractions started right away and were so painful, after four hours I was still at 1cm, i went in at night so after the cervidal the doc came in the next morning an pooped
