kinda really hurt:(

This isn't really a question unless someone has better names for my boys..but I'm not really looking to change them. I just listened to my voicemail not even a full minute ago and my gram and dad were talking(not even realizing the phone was recording them) about my babies names. It really made me tear up because I love them to death and it turns out they're just like the rest of my family and can't be honest up front..they'd much rather talk about whatever issue behind someone's back. She even mentioned something about my other son's name. I understand she's 93 and used to very regular names, but even those names at some point were unique. Grrr. Honest opinions here please. We had Draven picked out for baby A. Baby B was going to be either Raylin or Faben. We were going to let my oldest son choose between the two..but are those names really THAT bad?? My younger son's name is Logan, which is becoming more and more popular and my oldest son's name is Caden..which is also becoming more popular esp with all the different ways to spell but like I said they had something to say about Logan's as well and now I just want others people's opinions if I'm going too far or if they're just too stuck on very practical names?

Who cares what they think? We changed my son's name 8 months into my pregnancy, and everyone hated the name. He is almost 3, and the people who begged me to change his name love it. It is Lachlan (pronounced lock lynn)

It's your kids, your choice what you name them.  I have to say I am partial to Draven, that's my nephew's name...my sister named him after the character Eric Draven from The Crow.

If we were having a boy not a girl we were going to name him Sylas, I still get hell from the people I work with because they didnt like it. One last went as far as saying it is a "buck toothed hillbilly name". My boyfriends name is Damion and mine is spelled uniquely so we were looking at uncommon names. Honestly don't listen to them people all have opinions and you can't please everyone. Now we are getting crap from other people about our daughters name from other people because they think our daughters name is too close to a common name. (Ashlynn Paige)  If you truely like the names then do it. Other peoples opinions in the long run won't matter because you will be proud of your babies n the names you choose.

My sister told me she hates my babys middle name (adalynn rose) but its after my friend and its my baby not hers. Again they are your babies not everyone elses and they will learn to deal with it. You can choose what you want tho!

Damian was actually one of the earlier choices but it had one too many syllables so we shortened it to damon..well that got scratched because it's a local restaurant's name

I have the biggest problem from Faben because it's a completely made up name. It's a cross between fable and fabian. When I named caden, they didn't even have a meaning on all the sites I looked at but I knew the name would be my first born's since the 7th grade. Raylin is the 2nd biggest prob because ppl think it sounds feminine but it was supposed to be named after my sister and pap-pap(raymond and my sis's middle is rae). I can't find a good name I love and I look for hours until my eyes are sore. I do tell everyone I'm gna be the one calling or writing their names daily not them but they say ok well we just won't call them that. My sister said she will call draven driven and my mom would rather use their middle names.I never thought I'd care but I can't even describe the hurt my heart received hearing the crap my gram and dad had tto say about it all. It's like my whole world got knocked outta balance

I really like draven, the other 2 not so much, but hey that's just me.. Everyone's different. I love logan and cayden. We were actually considering both of those before we decided on nathaneal. I think if you and your husband like the names you've picked out then don't let anyone elses opinions change that.

Thanks. It just hurt bc we worked hard on them then everyone had something to say about one or the other, but I'd brush it off..hurts more when it's the two people you really only look up to I suppose. My dad even sounded like he liked draven when I told him..now I wanna go flick his head for lying
