^^^ is right. 36 weeks starts ur 9th month. It is a known fact that u gi through ur 9th month which means when ur due it's the end of ur 9th month hince 10 months....techinically

27 weeks is the last week of the 6th month.

28-31= 7 months
32-35= 8 months
36-40= 9 months

It's not an exact 9 months, it's 40 weeks. They count two weeks before you conceive because they go back to the first day of your last period.

Based on your calculations that would make a pregnancy 10 months long which it isn't and by the time you got to 36 weeks that would be 9 months when you still have practically a month to go. I conceived in September and my baby is due in June so 9 months later.

Not strictly true. Each month is about 4.5 weeks (30 days) making you 6 months. :-)
