thanks ladies, and yes anabelcrts  we are due the same day. and lisa 9 i have spd also and baby is so low i definitely need support. thanks again for all input im definitely going to talk to my dr first and go from there. ACLINE i dont think it means you will have him early although that does creep in my mind from time to time but im hoping that is not the case. i have had a few ladies tell me they also carried low the entire time and all was fine, but i do feel better knowing that i have a stitch in my cervix which is holding up great so far.

Just wondering, if you carry your baby extremely low does that mean you're more likely to have him earlier?

I have to have them as I have spd. The best type is the wrap over velcro type. There are a lot which have bands which go across the top of the belly to but the extra band doesn't really make any difference for me at least and they were more uncomfortable in the last few months. Try to go for one with ribbing in the back if you can as they give a lot of extra support and nice sturdy thick material. I find that they dig in under the bump a little when sitting down but wearing thick clothes underneath helps. The best type I've found just have two velcro strips around the front. I hope that helps.

thanks guys, and acline i will definitely try that first i see my dr on tuesday and i do have tenncare which is medicaid for tennessee. thanks ktowne i saw one that wrapped around your lower belly but also had a wrap that went up over top of your belly but didn't know how good they worked and it was almost $20 more than the one youre takling about i think. it was crazy. i never had to have one with my daughter but she was always high, this baby being so low all the time its different and acline im glad im not the only one needing this so early although you are about 2 weeks ahead of me lol

I have an appointment so my doctor can fit me for a special one :( but he said the ones that wrap under your belly and over your shoulders is the best. If you have insurance/medicaid, get one prescribed from your doctor. Way easier than searching for one, and waiting for it to get sent it the mail, etc.

I don't know the name of mine, but it wraps around the lower half of your belly, completely, and it has velcro so you can make it as loose or tight as you'd like. It's almost like the medela brand one, but it's not.

You can get them pretty cheap at like Burlington Coat Factory or even Target.  I think they only cost $10-15 if I remember.  I just have been using spandex tank tops under my shirts :)
