Yes...just make sure to wash your hands really well before touching anything else. Normally when I cook, I put a little bit of bleach in my dish water to dip my hands in before I touch the soap dispenser.

Yes but just like anyone else you have to make sure to wash your hands afterwards and not eat raw meat.
