Im from Indiana and mine took almost 2 months to kick in. And then I had problems with it saying it wasnt active which in fact it was so I had to call my medicaid provider to get it all straightened out.it was a mess.

2 weeks and it showed active. And they cut you off a month after your due date. Like I'm due Christmas, and it ends on February

I think it is good to prepare for the future as well by going to school ---  either college or trade school so that if they cut your benefits, you'll be in a better place to afford it on your own.  good luck to you all

Every medicaid plan is different, medicaid full coverage covers baby.
Medicaid pregnancy plan covers baby for one year after they are born, which helps a lot!

I got it from fl. Kicked in right away. Now im in new york took a little loger but still pretty quick. Some doctors take medicaid pending ( in fl i know they did) which means they will take you as if you have medicaid and when you get approved they will just bill them then..

A soon as i signed up it was active, they even said that medicaid covers one month of appointments back from before you had it.
So if you went August 1rst and don't get Medicaid till September 1rst then medicaid will cover it. I don't know if that works for every state, i live in Idaho & they did that for me
