miscarriage?

Hi Ladies please help im now 6 weeks 2 days pregnant and this morning i started with some bleeding, its just like a period, same colour and as heavy as a period. ive got no pain just period like aching in my lower abdo and lower back as i have had right thru this and my last pregnancy (my boy 41 weeks delivered by c section, 2 and a half years ago). there have been 3 or 4 tiny clots but only about the size of lentils. The nurse is having me in the morning to have bloods done, i just dont know weather to expect the worst?
any advice REALLY appreciated!
Thanks x

Serena112-- also if you experience fever and flu like symptoms to go back to the hospital as it could be a sign of infection from left behind fetal tissue.

mummycrush -- I am sorry for your loss.

sakazmi - thank you, i started getting brown discharge and it eventually got heavier then turned red which again eventually got heavier :( its a sad time but hopefully we will all have a healthy and non complicated pregnancy soon xx

Mummycrush - so sorry for your loss i had to wait tor my blood results too today and the nurse called me with them and confirmed i had a miscarriage as it went from 625 to 200 in 2 days. she also told me i have to do a pregnancy test in 2 weeks just to confirm but obviously if its positive (with i highly highly doubt) to go back to the hospital.

hopefully the new year will have a healthy fresh start

Good luck to you all xxxx

Oh just to say I was 5 weeks along when I had the m/c and did not see any grey discharge with it (grey discharge is fetal tissue)

Hope everything turns out for the better. Back in April when I had a M/C it started out real slow, I had mild cramping like period cramps, but the blood was stringy and clotted. Later that night I went the ER to check my HCG levels and they dropped pretty quickly from the day before when they had done a test then.
Hopefully that's not the case for you and that this is just normal discharge. But I hate to say that if it's like a period and as heavy as one with clots then it could be a m/c.
Good Luck and keep us posted!!

I started spotting when i thought from my LMP that i am 6wks and 2 days. i was having light pinkish discharge now and then. got my scan done and saw a sac and yolk she said it was too early and i am suppose to be only 5wks. i said fine during that week i kept having spotting and then had a scan after 10 days showed i was 6wks 5 days baby was measuring 5mm however there was no heartbeat. again they said wait and i had again small tiny amount of pinkish discharge and went for scan i was suppose to be 8wks and 1 day but baby did not grow and i ended up with MC. i am still having this brownish discharge and pinkish discharge now and then.
sometimes its normal if you have small amount of bleeding which is called implantation bleeding or hormonal bleeding. however in my case i ended up with Missed/delayed MC i should have been 10 wks today still haven't had a bleeding. my doctor said that i found out bit too early if i wouldn't have been having scans i would have found when i would have been either 11 or 12wks.
i would recommend you get a scan asap. because it could be nothing but could be anything. also get your blood tests done to see whether your hcg is rising or not.

i hope you get a good news.... best of luck

I know your worried. I am also 6 weeks pregnant. I have had some light to moderate spotting. Some days heavier then most. But I talked to my doctor and she said that its normal to spot and it can last sometimes up till your 6th month. She said that light pink to brown colors are normal and when it turns brown it just means that its old blood you have left in your uterus getting out. She also told me that if it becomes a bright red or if I had a grey discharge then I should be worried and get to my Dr right away. I hope this helps you a little. :-) and good luck on your pregnancy.
