miscarriage

Hi could someone give me some advice,i miscarried last thursday morning,at home,i had scan same morning confirming sac was empty,we were asked if wanted d+c or to go naturally,i decided to go home think about it,friday morning early hours, woke up to go loo,and passed, what i thought was sac.heartbreaking, although i knew we had miscarried it seemed final,no i feel so empty.my question is when should the bledding stop, and would i still need a d+c,im scared of infection, already lost one tube due to eptopic last year, and dread infection,in case loose all chances of becoming pregnant.i did stop bleeding all together yesterday, mon, and to day started again, its always early hours morning,im so tired and drained, and occasionally i get this very sharpe pain in the pelvic area.please could someone advise us.

TWW mean Two Week Wait the lutheal phase of our menstral cycles.  If you have a D&C just make sure that they give you all the details so nothing surprizes you.

I just miscarried friday afternoon and my doctor said that it seemed like everything had passed so i wouldnt need a D&C. I didn't want a D&C because its part of the early abortion procedure. Doing that can cause you problems as well. The same risks of an abortion may come with a D&C so it scared me to think of it. I'm glad it was empty to where I didn't need one. Its your choice though. Good luck either way

Good luck to you the way my Dr. explained a D&C it was like mowing the grass  you have all these long and stray pieces of "Grass" and the D&C goes in and mows it all clean and fresh again and make the uterus ready for another healthy pregnancy.  I pray that you have better luck also.  I'm in my TWW right now so maybe some miracle happend and I'm pregnant again so soon.....

Im so sorry.i think going to call and ask for d+c to be sure.i really hope you have better luck in the future.its so nice to find forums like these, people going through or had same experiences, and can talk to them.most of my friends dont have children or never experienced the loss,so its so hard to talk to them.i wish you all the best, dont give up hope.

I think it's better to have a D&C afterwards JMO but I had stopped bleeding for 3 days before I had my D&C I MC'd Aug. 27 and Had D&C Sept. 5th.....and they say that the likely hood of having another MC go down tremendously after the first but in my case it wasn't down enough......it was my 2nd in 10 months  first one I was 8 weeks this time only 6.

thank you for that, funny enough i have stopped bleeding altogether since my earliar posting.hoping thats it.even when i wee and wipe nothing there now, could that mean the end now.hoping its all over.sorry for your loss.its so unfair, how are you holding up.i miscarried at 10 weeks, but i think i new somthing was wrong.dr kept saying dont worry all looks fine, well what can i say.can i ask are you going to try again soon,or let it happen when it does,i want to try again, but its so scarey.would the chances be high again for another miscarriage.best of luck to you.

I didn't have a D&C with my first MC but I think it's a good thing since I MC again.  A D&C is a procedure that goes in and cleans out the uterus from all the nasty debree left from your MC  it also helps make your uterus ready for another healthy pregnancy.  I would definatly consider it.  The bleeding could last for a few weeks I've been lucky both times mine only lasted 4-5 days.  Shart pain is common also with MC I'm sorry for your loss I MC 5 weeks ago and the pain is excruciating.
