My son is going to be almost 9 when they baby gets here. I'm so nervous, I hardly remember the first few years. Guess that's what we get for waiting so long

Actually my boy is excited about becoming a big brother! I'm actually very lucky, my son does have high functioning autism which is a struggle in his education and social skills but he is the most kindest, loving, caring, obedient, polite, affectionate child ANY parent could ask for! I don't think it's totally hit him yet but he does talk to my belly and him and I spend a lot of time talking about the changes to come after baby gets here. I want to prepare him that things won't be the same, but I reassure him that I love him and will continue to be there for him for anything he needs although he will have to start doing more things for himself :)
I actually am extremely confident in my skills as a mom! Even though its been sooo long I feel like "it's like riding a bike-you never forget!" I don't feel like I will miss a beat when baby gets here and I'm just anxious to get this show on the road! I'm more concerned about hubby! He seems confident as well too but he will be a stay at home dad when I go back to work so it'll be all on him!

This is the first time I think Im not really worried about it.  I have a 5 year old, 4 year old, and 2 year old.  I think after having my last 2 I realized that babies are easy, its the toddlers and older that are the hard part!  My oldest daughter is really helpful too, so that will help,  she told me she will take care of her brother and sister for me while I take care of the baby lol.

I have a 5 year old who will be a month away from being 6 when the baby is born. I fell the same as you, I can't believe after almost 6 years I'm starting over. I walk down the baby section in the store and get nervous lol my son is so excited to have a sibling on the way though, he is always lifting my shirt and kissing and hugging my belly. He really wants a baby brother but once in a whilr he changes his mind and says "no it has to be a girl because I'm a boy lol"
