movement??

Ok well from all that has been going on with me, having to go to the ER due to bleeding and cramps. Haven't been able to see an OBGYN yet =/ however yesterday I had another ultrasound (techs can't say anything though no doctors were there either ugh!) I was wondering why is it that I have had that 'extreme pain' that I had last time during my miscarriage yet the baby hasn't come out, last time It was out the next day. I cramp off and on (not as severely now) I haven't had any tissue, ok well like 3 pieces that are if-y but certainly mostly clots. My boyfriend was looking at the ultrasound the whole time I wasn't I was not feeling well (kinda light headed and cramping slightly) and he said while looking at it he saw what seemed to be a heartbeat?? well he showed me with his hand how he saw movement and asked was that a heartbeat I said I don't know I've never seen a heartbeat and I missed it. So I was wondering is this normal to see in an ultrasound since I have just about every sign of miscarriage on the list?

Yes if your are 10 weeks then they defiantly should have seen a heartbeat, you can usually detect one at as little as 6 weeks.  that is only a week before my first visit, and they seen an acutal baby moving around, so Im kinda confused on this, maybe  your boyfriend did see something, or maybe he just really wanted to and its in his head. I would defiantly tell your doctor to do another u/s and make sure its the vaginal one, there more affective when its this early in the pregnancy,  good luck and keep us posted

you would definitely be seeing the heartbeat by 10 weeks...did your boyfriend say that's what he saw?? it sounds to me like he at least saw SOMETHING which is a really good sign. i saw my daughter moving around 9 weeks. :)

How far along do you think you are?  I had my first ultra sound at 11 weeks and i seen a heartbeat and a perfect peanut shaped baby lol

For my 12 week ultrasound we definatley saw a heartbeat, there was no mistaking it!

Well a heartbeat is definitely noticeable. I would look up ultrasound videos online for about how far along you are to see. Ask your BF if that is what he saw. The heartbeat is a couple white lines that move/flicker quickly.

Having symptoms of miscarriage does not necessarily mean you are miscarrying. Sometimes our bodies do strange things. I would call the doctor and ask that they give you peace of mind ASAP.
