my prenatal massage experience

So Im 7 months and I was scheduled a prenatal massage for a Christmas gift. I was super excited because of how bad my back has been hurting latley. So the first part of the massage was awesome, they have special tables that dip in so you can comfortably lay on your stomach, so my back massage was great. But then the lady had me lay on my back and while she was massaging my legs I started to feel really faint and hot so I had to ask her to stop and get me some water. After the water I felt fine but then she started massaging my stomach and that was super uncomfortable. You can't push on a pregnant ladies stomach! Anyway, after I got out i researched it and she should not have put me on my back, apparently that's a big no no. So just a heads up ladies, if you decide to get one of these be cautious of what your massage therapist is doing!

She was somewhat gentle but she was pushing way too hard. I felt embarrassed for almost passing out, I'm glad I researched it to know there was a good reason!

I am a massage therapist and they definitely are supposed to prop you up if they insist you lie on your back. Almost seated. And they can absolutely rub your belly as long as it is soft and gentle. More to moisturize than to massage.

I've had multiple pre natal massages and never had them massage my stomach or put me on my back. I've been asked to lay on my side instead

Thanks for the tip because I've been thinking about pampering myself to one of those!
