my wife's period is one week late ?

Hello everybody,

My wife's periods is one week late and she's having white creamy discharge. About one month ago I stupidly came inside her, not too much but that's not important probably. She was in the last days her periods at the time *actually last days of bleeding which I suppose is the start of the new cycle.) The day after that happened, she got a -day after pill- she didn't get it earlier because we did have it so we bought it the next day.

Anyway, some days after she got the pill, she started bleeding again.
Now, little more than one month after the intercourse, she is one week late as I said before and she's having white creamy discharge. She feels like her belly is getting big.
She's taking a test tomorrow.

May it be that her periods have changed the date because of her second bleeding I mentioned above?
Or she's late because of the pill?
Or she's just pregnant ?

Thanks in advance to everyone.

Could have been the pill of no use since she took it while she was still in her periods. That was the exact last day when she took it but in the pill's instructions was written that it could be taken at any moment, even while during the periods.

You ovulate about 12-16 days BEFORE the first day of your period. She would not been ovulating at the time you gad intercourse. Also it is very common for the morning after pill to jump start a cycle and to cause your next "normal" cycle to be off. Her belly wouldn't be getting bigger this early even if she was pregnant. I think its very unlikely she is pregnant but if she is worried have her take a test.

Thanks for the reply.

I read around that the morning after pill would delay the periods at least 7 days.

Let's hope the test comes negative. We couldn't give the life we would want to, to a baby at the moment. :(

She's prob thrown her period off course with the pill. The same thing happened to a friend of mine about 3 months ago. But there is a chance of her being pregnant as the morning after pill isnot 100% effective. Just take the test if its negative, wait a couple more days and take another.
