neg preg test

today i called my doc to see her cos i think im pregnant but was waiting on results and had an appointment with her tomorow, but i started spotting on saturday night, and she sent a msg thru her receptionist that the pregnancy test was negative and she'll see me tomorrow. I understand she has alot of patients but to take 2 mins between patients and call me back is not that hard. i am really disappointed and dont know what to do. i know something is going on in there! should i go to ER???
i am really upset now! i think i might change my doc!

I am sorry that you are going through this. I knew that you were really sure that you were pregnant =( I know how disappointing it is (I went through over 2 years of it) but it would be better to start your period and try again... I know that with negative pregnancy test and your doctor doesn't take the time to talk to you about it can make it seems so much worse (because of the tense emotions you are feeling)... Definitely see your doctor tomorrow and I am sure they will take the time to sort it all out for you. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi I am a big believer in knowing our own bodies and if you think you are pregnant i would stick to your guns and i think it is a really smart move getting a second opinion, i hope all works out in your favour and am dying to hear how you went, take care and try not to stress.

It only took 3 months for to conceive the 1st time we fell pregnant and quite obviously you have a d ifferent relationship with ur doctor than i do with mine. if i beleive i am pregnant there is every reason for them to see me especially if i have miscarried before! this is not a 'beginning of a period'.

PS The ER will just send you home. There isn't anything they can do for a negative pregnancy test and someone who may be beginning their period. If you suspect you have endometriosis or another issue going on then you should bring that up to your doctor at your appointment tomorrow. It can take up to a year to conceive.

You had a negative pregnancy test and have begun spotting. I would assume you're not pregnant. And yes, doctors are very busy. I never talked to my doctor on the phone; it was always through his receptionist and that doesn't bother me in the least. So long as I'm getting the information I need I don't mind who is relating it to me. And if I had a question the receptionist was great at getting back with me before the day was out, sometimes even after-hours, to let me know what the doctor told her when he wasn't busy with patients, writing his reports, researching, etc.
