if you or who ever was a heavy user during pregnancy then the baby may very well be born with the addiction. if you smoked very little during the pregnancy 1,5,maybe even 10 times during the whole pregnancy the baby should be fine might end up getting adhd later on in life or other learning problems but shouldnt be addicted. Now if the baby some how consumed meth after birth it need to go to the er asap the parent might get into trouble but not nearly as much as if the child dies due to it. Now if smoking meth was around the baby you should still go to the dr. but if the smoking is not going to stop please for the babys sake dont have it around the baby perhaps do it in another room with shut doors. I know this is a hard habit to quit but quitting is the best option or like i said at least keep the baby away because babys dont have a choice so dont make the wrong one for them. I know alot of people who have quit it was easy for most hard for others but it can be done and detox is not as bad as other drugs.

GOOD LUCK

meth is very addicting and dangerous but leaves the the body through urine in 4 to five days milk helps and drinking lots of water this is for adults but should be the same for babies but you really need to go to a Dr. to make sure the baby dosnt detox.

i agree with everyone else. you/whoever you know MUST seek advice of a doctor NOW.
this is a SERIOUS drug. the baby will be taken from the mother in a heartbeat unless advice is sought after before it is found.

if its you, please stop. now.

I agree with the other posters. Please contact the pediatrician of the child in question and immediately bring this to their attention. If you are asking because you or someone you know has used meth during pregnancy and hasn't given birth yet and is curious about drug testing after birth, you or your friend MUST go to their OB and admit usage of the drug during pregnancy. This is a dangerous drug and only with the knowledge and help of an OB for a baby that hasn't been born yet and then follow-up with a pediatrician after birth can you be ensured that the child's health is being properly seen to.

Please either speak to a medical professional ASAP or refer whoever you're asking for to do the same.

yes, you should definately be honest with your doctor.  You & baby need help NOW (if you are talking about yourself)

There are SO many NEGATIVE affects meth WILL have on your baby.  This is poison going straight to your developing child.  Affecting the brain, heart  & all other organs.  The baby can be born addicted also.

PLEASE get help.  This is not good.

When the baby is born, it could very possibly be tested for drugs.  Your baby could die or have problems for LIFE.  The child can/will be taken away from you & you could spend time in prison, unless you get help NOW.

I don't know how long it would take, but if you're asking because you or someone you know has been using while pregnant, you/they really should tell your/their doctor. It's better to be upfront and honest than the baby come out and the dr find out then. If you/they are honest with the dr the dr may be able to help before baby is born.
