They lose sensitivity. I agree keep at it for 6 weeks. When yr milk comes in and yr breasts get engorged it hurts so much! But you can get thru it :)

After the first few times, latching your baby on should not hurt. If it does there might be something wrong with baby's latch. But while you're pregnant, sore nipples are totally normal!

Learn all u can about it first and find out if u have a lactation consultant in ur area to help transition better. I had ALOT of pain cracked bleeding crying while feeding a few times tried everything and it got way better so glad and so proud I toughed it out ended up bfing a yr and will do it all over if I have to. Ive never heard anyone say it got worse once mom and baby got it down (its just that u AND baby are learning it) n latch is everything and different hold can help too. Good luck momma theres lots of benefits to bfing and not juat its made specifically for ur baby

Tough it out. They can even chap and blister while breastfeeding. And the build up of milk is painful the first month or so, thats why they say if you bf stick to it for at least 6wks cuz its easiest to quit when something is painful and hard. Dont worry eventually you and baby will have it down :) anything worth having doesnt come free, but its deff not impossible!
