ovulation vs. fertile days??

Ok so I do have this app o have my DROID with a calendar where I track my period, intimacy, and other notes and it calculates my fertile days and my ovulation day for me. So my question is, it shows me fertile 5days before and after my ovulation day...so if we have sex within any of those days we've got a good change of getting pregnant?? I apologize for this being kinda silly..Haha but we're new at this:)

thanks so much!!:) so now i am beginning to wonder if the fertile days on my app are off. lol I can tell you this, during the time I was supposed to be fertile/ovulating according to my app I sure was "in the mood"...I mean I guess maybe I thought I was ovulating and I REALLY wanted to get at it and make a baby so I was so into the BD at that time...but I really was in the mood and wanting it besides that we're TTC:) So is there any connection in being horny and ovulating??

I used my days as well. Before my miscarriage it was pretty accurate but after it my cycles were irregular and my conception date was no where near a fertile day lol

Yes, you are usually the most fertile 5 days before and 1 day after. BUT your tracker may not be completely accurate as to the days that you are actually fertile. It only "predicts" it based on your previous cycles. If you are very regular then yes it would probably be pretty accurate but not everyone has a spot on regular cycle.
The best way to know that you are ovulating on top of these days is an increase in cervical mucous that closely relates to raw egg whites. This is when you are to get busy!! Also, BD every other day!

I used the same thing I had sex when I was ovulating annd here I am 10 weeks pregnant :) good luck!!
