pain in upper right side

I just found out that I'm pregnant and I'm having a sharp pain on my right side a little under my ribs it feels like. Could this be bad. I've never felt this before with any of my other pregnancys I don't really think this is normal

Its not constant its only when I sit once I stand up I'm fine. I go to the doc tomorrow for more blood work so I'm going to ask her. Its just wierd because its only when I am sitting down and the pain is horrible.

I would speak to your doc or nurse on call and mention it. It may be nothing, but it could also indicate free fluid in the abdomen if there is an ectopic pregnancy. No need to panic, but if it persists I would give doc a call.

Does it happen at any particular time, or is it a constant feeling? I wouldn't think that a pain such as that would be normal, however I could easily be wrong. Anything that doesn't seem normal should be checked out by a doctor.
