I did mine at 25 weeks my insurance sent over the packet early
Ha, well. My husband never helped with that kind of stuff any way. I found that asking around was the best way to be confident that you will get someone 'good' and that you will like. I used the same pediatrician as my sister because my sister loved her and now I do too. So, check with other moms out and about that you know near you. peace and good luck as I'm sure it is hard having your husband gone!!
I have military insurance so I kinda need to find mine soon lol thanks for the info everyone. My husband is deployed at the moment and when he gets back I'll only have roughly 9 weeks left of pregnancy. ***** he won't be here to help find a pediatrician.
It's good to have a pediatrician beforehand. I asked around to friends and neighbors as to who they liked and picked the office I wanted to go to. Then called and told them I was expecting and the doctor saw me in my third trimester. A quick meeting and they gave me some newborn information and explained how things worked for once the baby was born. it was good to have that all set. Then when baby arrives, you give the hospital the name of the designated pediatrician and they are then aware that baby is here. Then you call day you get home from hospital and they'll make room to see you the next one or two days so you have your first baby check up right away with the doctor.
good luck
I found mine the day she was born.
35 weeks is when I found mine.
