I had my first prental appointment a few weeks ago and had lab/blood work done and then the dr called and said that the babys father should come in to get lab/blood work done....im just concerned about what could it be is something wrong with the baby has this ever happen to anyone else......also the dr said he could come in at my next appointment to get his lab/blood work down which is a few weeks away so it doesnt seem like an urgent matter but im not sure

If your blood type is postive would your rh be postive...n this isnt my first baby so wouldnt it have been told to me before if i was rh negative

You probably have RH negative blood and if father has the same blood type it can cause problems so they will give you shots to help. Nothing too serious as they are catching it.

Maybe to check rh compatibility, and to test and see if he is a possible carrier of any genetic issues.
