possible induction

At my last drs appointment last Friday i was 1cm dilated, i am currently 39 weeks and 1 day and have another appointment Thursday to see if I've made any progress. Dr was also talking about inducing me this weekend depending on how the appointment went. My question is, do you ladies think being induced makes a harder labor? Especially since i was only dilated 1 at last visit??

It depends on the method of induction and how well your body takes to it. I was induced with this thing I can't remember the name of and it was suppoused to sit in my cervix for 12 hours in the hospital and then picotin, but the medicine fell out on a trip to the bathroom. With the medicine I was having small irregular contractions and once they started the picotin they got crazy. I was in labor for 14 hours all together, but had an emergency c section because baby had a bowel movement and his heart rate kept dropping, and had his cord wrapped around his neck 3 times.
