possible lost tampon and mirena

I have the mirena and have been spotting the last few days so i have been using tampons. Tonight i went to change tampons and the strings were not outside of me. I went looking for it and could barely feel strings but dont know if its the mirena or tampon? Please help put my mind at ease

If you think a tampon has become lost and stuck inside you..you need to go to ER now . Tampons that have been in more than 8hiurs could lead to toxic shock syndrome which is fatal x
